Welcome
Spokane Oil Spill Outreach is an organization created in response to the recent disastrous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. In an effort to connect the Spokane community more closely to what is really going on, local Spokane film maker and wildlife biologist Marc Gauthier is currently on the coast in Louisiana attempting to document the effects of the oil spill on the environment and people. He is also using his extensive kayaking skills and wildlife biology experience to aid in the clean up effort. Working with support from organizations such as Down To Earth News, Mountain Gear, The Main Market and several environmental non-profit groups in Spokane, Marc will be giving daily updates from the ground and will create a film to be shown to the community upon his return.
